Hey good people—Happy steamy summer to you all!

I’m pleased to be a part of the growing network of permaculture educators in the Traverse City and NW Michigan region and also part of the teaching team that has been holding a permaculture design course in Traverse City for the past 6 months.

We are approaching our final course weekend, and as a thank you to our supportive community, wish to invite you to join us for the final design presentations. Two groups of permaculture design students will be sharing their designs, focused on our host sites at both the Greenspire School and at at the Grand Traverse Food Innovation Hub.

The presentations will take place on Sunday, August 28th, at 1:00 pm, at The GT Food Innovation Hub, 1610 Barlow, Traverse City, MI. The link for additonal directions here: http://gtfoodshedalliance.org/

ALSO: We are putting the workshop and teaching calendar together for the fall 2016 and winter/spring/summer of 2017, with plans to offer up a series of permaculture workshops/skill-shares focusing on specific themes/practices—and scheduling either/or both a 6 month weekend course to begin Jan-May, and a 10-12 day residential (overnight and on-going) next summer. We are looking for hosts for each, and planning to use the same process that we did with the current course, by sending out a “Seeking Host” letter (attached below. Also attached below is a one-pager on our aims for continuing to build a stronger permaculture education network in our TC/NW Michigan Region.

Thanks SO MUCH for your participation, time, consideration, support and encouragement with our present design course–and we hope you will join us in the sharing of the design presentations, as well as, consider hosting permaculture programs in the fall season and into 2017!
